MTN Schools Connect

This project, designed by SchoolNet and implemented in partnership with MTN Foundation (MTNF). It also serves to address the severe digital infrastructure problem in our schools, and provides each beneficiary school with the following;
– A server with 21 Workstations fully networked
– A Networkable printer
– A multimedia projector with whiteboard
– Quality furniture to sit 42 students
– Alternative power supply Diesel powered generator) and 4 units of 1.5HP ACs
– VSAT equipment with internet subscription paid for 1-year
– Insurance cover for all equipments
– Training for teachers for effective use to support all subject areas
– Technical training of the school community
– Retraining materials and programme to address staff turnover
– Call center support

SNNG has implemented this project successfully in 62 public secondary schools in 15 states across the nation, and report shown that over 100,000 students and over 5,000 teachers are directly impacted which in turn has revealed an improved teaching and learning standard in the benefitting schools and host communities.
